"I am so happy that I had the very exciting opportunity of working with fashion designer Melissa Garšva and the Multiple Sclerosis Foundation in an adaptive clothing fashion show. The show featured stylish, elegant, fun designs that are so easy to wear. Melissa was wonderful right from the start. She invited all of the models to her studio and made us feel very welcome. She talked to all of us to get a sense of our style as well as how we dealt with the challenges of MS in our daily lives. She took all of our measurements on our initial visit with her. Later, we each came back individually to work with Melissa on the style of the outfits that we would be wearing for the show and ensure that the designs worked well for us. All of the adaptive clothing that Melissa designed was incredibly easy to get into and button up using magnetic button closures. The fabric in all of the pieces felt absolutely amazing on the skin. Often, people with MS, myself included, have issues with textures that cause itching or irritation on the skin. I was so happy to see that Melissa chose fabrics that felt silky soft on the skin. It was a delight to wear the different styles Melissa designed and it felt fabulous wearing clothes that were so luxurious and easy to put on!"
